“And if to some my tale seems one of foolishness, I am content that such could count me fool”

MY BOOKS

The 'Foolish' Trilogy
(Book 3 Coming Soon)

These books are my story.

They’re about hopes and dreams. Happiness and despair. Learning and growth.

They’re about life. Not just mine. Yours too.

The sea and sail boats feature prominently. But they’re written for everyone, sailor or not.

BOOK ONE

Disillusioned with my life of normality I bought an 18ft sailboat, made her my home, and set sail in search of adventure.

I FOUND IT

Then I decided to sail across the Bay of Biscay.

IT DIDN’T GO WELL

This is a book not just about sailing, but about life. It’s about what happens at the very limits of physical, emotional, and mental capacity.

Ultimately it’s about how a personal tragedy led to a life-changing discovery – The realisation that hidden deep inside of us all is the perseverance and passion needed for achieving long-term goals.

BOOK TWO

‘A Foolish Odyssey’ picks up where the first book ended.

My dream and the adventure were over. I returned to dry land. 20 years of conformity ensued. It was a roller coaster ride.

Then, at the age of fifty, I lost everything .. again.

Alone, depressed, lost, and on the verge of giving up, I stumbled across a forgotten book.

It jolted me out of my stupor. Its message was clear..

Build a boat.
Return to the sea.
Escape.

BOOK THREE

A working title, a concept cover and work in progress.

In this final book of the series the adventure begins again.

Over the Channel. Across the Bay of Biscay. Spain. Portugal. The Mediterranean.

Three years of life afloat.

Will this fool finally escape?

You’ll have to wait and see.
