Not much to say about this week.
Sometimes life gets in the way of consistent work; that’s particularly true when you can choose how to spend your time.
Most books about writing talk about discipline. They say you must avoid distractions, get your ass in the chair and do the work.
It’s true, sort of.
But for me, it’s not that simple. There’s no point sitting at the desk and forcing myself to work if my heart is saying I should be elsewhere , doing something else.
So I don’t do it.
That’s been the story this week and it’s OK.
I’m here now.
The week wasn’t completely non-productive. All stage 1,2&3 editing is now completed. I’ve got 17,644 words left to go through stage 4 (reading out loud) this week.
After that I’ll be on to compilation and formatting; I’m still on schedule ?
